Batteries for Minolta Flash Meter III

My Minolta Flash Meter III specifies six S-76 or six G-13 batteries. These do not appear to be available any more.

What batteries can I use that would give accurate readings?

Note this is not the Auto Meter or any other Minolta meter that takes AA batteries.

Thanks

Yes, they're just the common AG13/LR44/A76 button cells.

Available in cards of 10 online or in many cheap hardware/general stores.

I'm surprised it takes 6 of them though.

My Autometer III takes a single 6v PX28, which is basically 4x LR44 cells in a single package.

It's a battery eater, consuming power even when switched 'off'. So I keep a slip of thin plastic between the battery and one of its contacts when the meter's not going to be used for a while.

I have 3 flash meter III and they don't eat batteries but the 6 silver oxide batteries are quite expensive. You can use the alkaline equivalent or 3 2L76 lithium batteries.

By them in quantity and get a discount:
