Hasselblad 500c, 250mm Sonnar lens on Kodak Ektar film. The pic of the motor, I have 2 versions of, I THINK I posted the other already but if this is a repost, please accept my apologies. This "on/off shot is the rear end of the same car.

My 500cm body & 80mm lens went in for repairs and tune up in August after a screw dropped out of the lens and jammed the body/lens in July. I resisted using the 500c for some time then finally decided to just go with it. The viewfinder is nowhere near as bright as that of the 500cm and it took me a minute to get into the swing of it with the "c". Ultimately I got some great photos tho, during the rather long wait. to get the 500cm and 80mm Planar lens back. I had fun playing with the new to me 250mm lens and got to revisit the 50mm Distagon as well in the process. Meanwhile the 180mm Sonnar went largely unused all summer!

Want to trade your 250 SA for one of my 250 Sonnars?

as we usually say on "galerie photo" : "il faut les deux" (you need both ...)

thank you also for this generous proposal but I will have to decline and be satisfied with my modest 250SA ...

... and too bad if the photos are too resolved. I will put a softar

Thanks

There is a certain je ne sais quoi about this photo. I really, really like the composition. Something between humorous, sexy, and a social statement.

Technically, it is hazy soft and has a swirly and double contour bokeh. I did not expect that from a Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar. But i never seen anything by that lens. Thanks for posting!

Hello

thank you for your complimentary comments.

There is a certain je ne sais quoi about this photo. I really, really like the composition. Something between humorous, sexy, and a social statement.

Indeed, this statue is very sexy, It is located in Paris, in the courtyard of the Senate.

The fence encircling the garden, formerly a simple 80cm high fence, has been changed by these high gates capable of repelling bellicose peasants ...

There is therefore a "social" character, alas, very sad.

it is a modern CZJ in MC version, used at full aperture thanks to the 1 / 2000s of the shutter of the H-203 and despite a ROLLEI 400s exposed to 100 ASA ...

My 180mm may not be the best of the 180mm produced, as there can be so much variation in the quality of these productions ...

But I'm happy with that because after all, we don't always look for a razor-sharp rendering ...

(and that would duplicate the Tele-Xenar of the 6008 ...)

The processing can also have something to do with it, it is developed in Tetenal Ultrafin which is not a usual developer for this kind of film (but I like this rendering) and it is scanned on a V-750 without contrast enhancement or sharpening ...
