Aperture can now run on OS X 11.2

Recommended Posts

That is good to know. My main computer is a 2010 Mac Pro running OS 10.13.6 (High Sierra). Sooner or later I will be forced to upgrade my computer, and quite a bit of my software will become obsolete. Even though I have Lightroom CC, I still use Aperture for organizing my legacy files and more recent jpeg images, plus perform some editing. For more extensive editing I use Photoshop or Affinity Photo. I keep thinking that if I transfer all of my files to Lightroom it will forever lock me in to Adobe's subscription model.

So far I've stuck with High Sierra. My old software still works, with the occasional weirdness. But it is interesting to hear about old software coming back to life.

I wonder if 64-bit Photoshop CS5 will work on Big Sur?

Here's another reason I haven't upgraded. I fell in love with this one with the first picture of it I saw. I still think it is up there with the 'strawberry'/'cherry' red iMac for most beautiful computer ever. :D
