Ricochetrider
Enjoying seeing everyone's shots from NYC. Here are a few more of my own NYC shots. Love this photo of the little girl and I assume her grandmother. Love the street "art" that pops up all over the place, on just about any surface and here's another from Brooklyn. A friend is part owner of Brooklyn Bowl over there and has an annual vintage motorcycle show called Spliitin Lanes & Dodgin Gutters. It's quite the event- a lot of fun and always a good time to visit with that crew & family of friends. This particular day was one of a few (pretty rare) occasions when I randomly bumped into somebody I knew from elsewhere on the street up there. All other times I ever ran into some friend in NYC like that, they at least lived or worked in the City. My friend (not pictured) was up there for the weekend with his children. I had been standing outside the bowling alley taking photos of bikes at curbside. One NYC friend who I hadn't known was to be there came up behind me and said, "Hey Tom!". He's a vintage motorcycle guy so it wasn't too far out of the realm. Less than 5 minutes later, my friend I know from working in & around Allentown PA comes behind me and says, "Hey Tom!". At this point I'm like OK WTF over here. Edited February 2, 2021 by Ricochetrider

Ricochetrider
@mpressionz LOVE these. The shots of the women lined up on the sidewalk and the lady leaping in the street are really lovely photos! The next to last is amazing, great light here and I love the framing with the new tower in the background. All of them are very nice tho. Nice shootin’ there. Ricochetrider
I'd love to get back to NYC at some point! Untit Untit These are great but I especially like the final shot with the 3 men in hats. A timeless image that could have been shot at any time. There are few hints with which one could date this ageless photo.

I believe this are folks walking to shows on Broadway in the evening where it does look like it could be from a different era then 2007.
httpwww.photo.netbarry
New York at night was really a fun time to go shooting. These are mostly down in near SOHO and the village at night.

Ricochetrider
More from NYC- some of my early photos taken with the Hasselblad during a weekend visit with some friends who live on LES. The City is infinitely photogenic and I've shot it over and over and over again with all manner of cameras & phones over the years. As crowded as it can be, it is also sometimes very quiet- depends on where you are & when you're there. New York has changed quite dramatically over the years and IMO not 100% for the good. There's still some element of the funky old NYC that was its charm- but also perhaps the source of many problems? Maybe that depends on who you ask. and finally, the view out the kitchen window of my friends' home at Grand & Madison Street Cheers! That second photo of the manequin looks like an art colab between Keith Haring and LA Rock. Niels
