DavidTriplett
Basic Guidelines: In the strictest sense, nature photography should not include "hand of man elements". Please refrain from images with buildings or human made structures like roads, fences, walls. Pets are not permitted. Captive subjects in zoos, arboretums, or aquariums are permitted, but must be declared, and must focus on the subject, not the captivity. Images with obvious human made elements will likely be deleted from the thread, with an explanation to the photographer. Guidelines are based on PSA rules governing Nature photography which also cover the Nature Forum. Keep your image at/under 1000 pixels on the long axis for in-line viewing. Note that this includes photos hosted off-site at Flicker, Photobucket, your own site, etc. Each member please post no more than just one image to this weekly thread per week. If the information is available, many members appreciate information on your approach to making the image and the names, both common and scientific, of the subject(s). However, while encouraged, these are not required as a component of your contributions. Bottoms up! DavidTriplett
Mary, that is a really nice landscape image. I concur wholeheartedly! As a Nature forum, perhaps we can accept this as geology subject matter? I've been known to post geological subjects to this forum, and appropriately so, I think...

Thanks. it's a scan from a slide image in my pre-digital days. I must have used a Nikon F100 or F6 and I think it could be photographed with the 24-70mm lens, with the Singh-Ray Gold-N-Blue filter. I had the 70-200mm with me also and I remember I dropped it on the sand when I attempted to change lens - changing lenses in a super "dusty" desert is a stupid idea and I had learned better since. The sandwave pattern disappeared quickly when the sun was higher up.

Deborah Vallette
A nice image of Bambi. Thank you. Actually I have been stalking bucks with their antlers gone in our local park. I don't know what they look like with stubs. No luck.
ShunCheung
Deborah, glad your image is fine now. Sorry I noticed this discussion late, but I have checked this thread with Chrome, FireFox and Edge, and your original image is not visible on all browsers. I assume maybe it was an upload issue. In the future, you can always get my attention with an internal photo.net message. Or you can just repost the image. I can always delete any duplicated or unneeded post later on.
