Ricochetrider
Howdy, all. Just got a bunch of scans in and have sorted everything. Wanted to share this with you all, to see what you think. I shot this numerous ways but in the end, there's something I like about this particular shot, over the others from the series. Maybe it's the immediacy of the imagery, the texture & scale. Shot on Tri-X film using my Voigtlander R3m and the 40mm f1.4 Nokton Classic lens. Posting a linked url image insertion rather than a drag n drop of a larger file. I've been asked to keep the size down, so I'm trying to abide (for the most part anyway!). If you'd like to see my other shots of this let me know. I did crop the utility pole & transformer out of it at one point but here I present it as shot, other than having auto-enhanced light, levels, and curves from the lab scan. Shot this s somewhere in eastern Ohio. Passing thru on a motorcycle jaunt, I stayed overnight in a seedy sort of "no tell motel" I found along a nondescript stretch of US highway not too far outside a mid-sized city. The owner was super nice - and every person who checks into this joint gets one free beer! I prefer locally owned anything over a chain any time. Thanks, as always, for your time and commentary. tcyin
I like this. To me it has an ominous vibe, like an introduction to a Hitchcock movie, except the gas price and McDonald's sign are out of date. Certainly evokes a road trip. 2 www.neurotraveler.com
