Karim Ghantous
Kyle McDougall got 10 stops of usable DR from HP5. He obviously could have used different developers and/or techniques to stretch that out. I'm not very experienced at all with developing film so I would like to know what you all have got from this emulsion. In any case, he found that with a bog standard developer (whatever that was) he got from -3 to +7 stops. But I am pretty sure that is not the best that HP5 can do. glen_h
The HP5+ data sheet is easier to find: HP5+ technical data sheet Nov. 18.pdf which has pretty much 10 stops on the characteristic curve, and isn't bending over at all on the top end. I don't know why they didn't extend more to the right. So yes, I suspect 12 or more. 1 -- glen
peter_fowler
That, and the price ( in Canada ) are the reason my fridge is loaded with it in 120 format :) . Peter
