DavidTriplett
Basic Guidelines: In the strictest sense, nature photography should not include "hand of man elements". Please refrain from images with buildings or human made structures like roads, fences, walls. Pets are not permitted. Captive subjects in zoos, arboretums, or aquariums are permitted, but must be declared, and must focus on the subject, not the captivity. Images with obvious human made elements will likely be deleted from the thread, with an explanation to the photographer. Guidelines are based on PSA rules governing Nature photography which also cover the Nature Forum. Keep your image at/under 1000 pixels on the long axis for in-line viewing. Note that this includes photos hosted off-site at Flicker, Photobucket, your own site, etc. Each member please post no more than just one image to this weekly thread per week. #GiveThanks: In this week of our Thanksgiving holiday, please let me express my gratitude for this incredibly beautiful and diverse world in which we live. Even in times as difficult as 2020 has been, I continue to find wonder and amazement in the nature that surrounds me. I hope each of you likewise find joy in the beauty of Spaceship Earth.

Mary Doo
It seems every time I look at my old slides I'd find something that I previously did not pay much attention to. Here is a scene from Mono Lake under lenticular clouds. Fuji Velvia.

ShunCheung
These cormorants and white pelicans were hunting for the same fishes. You would think they are competitors, but somehow to hang around together for a long time, fishing at this pond.

David_Cavan
Another look at our resident small creatures - this family of hummingbirds has been with us for several years now, although I think the oldest pair is gone now. But they are fun to watch, and hard to photograph without some patience. 5 Dave Cavan https://davecavanphotographics.com/
