henry_tolino2
I recently purchased a clean Pentax 645N body; I added a Pentax 45-85 lens from KEH. So far, I've shot two rolls of film with good results; exposures are fine and the correct information is printed in the film edge. I do have an odd problem: Most of the time, I'll compose the shot, the autofocus will do its thing, I'll fire the shutter and the film will immediately advance to the next shot. Every so often, however, the camera will hang (and the mirror not return) after the shot for a two-count or so before advancing the film. It's almost like the shutter is hanging, save that the exposure comes out correctly. It does this indoors or out, with flash or without. I've just cleaned the battery box contents (no corrosion that I can se) with a pencil eraser, then swabbed with a little 91% alcohol. I then installed all new Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries and ran a scrap roll of film through the camera. Same thing. Is this a common issue with the 645N? Is it safe to keep shooting with the camera? Can I ignore the occasional hang?
