Canon Thursday November 5

We had an active territory war in our North Vancouver yard - 3 hummingbirds were arguing over squatters rights. They are really hard to photograph - I find I need to focus on a spot that is likely to be occupied and wait until one of them flys into it. And even then it's a 1-in-a-bunch shot when you get one of them to hold it for a split-part of a second. This is shot with a Canon 7D, tripod-mounted, Canon 200-400. TV settings to try to get something to hold still. This was 1/1600 at f/5 which is a stretch for DOF.
