arthur_mcculloch2
This week's W/NW begins with some snaps taken last Monday in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. Impressive. Tonality, dynamic range. Enjoyable to look at. Well done and bravo. Arthur (apiarist1)
arthur_mcculloch2
My contribution is limited. Our lockdown continues, with some relaxation recently. Though I've loaded my M6 with some film, I have not been able to use it. These two shots are of a performer we saw last sunday at the local pub. Done with a monochrom and my go to 75mm branded voigtlander (aka cosina). Again, they demonstrate the monochrom's inability to deal with highlights. arthur_mcculloch2
I was able to recover some of the highlights in PS. Better? Tell me how to do that Bill Blackwell Images. And thanks. I've got to say, that first shot of yours is evocative. Paths, leading to who knows where. You need to frame that. Your other shots are, as always, exemplary. I've said this before, a paraphrased quote from Martin Heidegger: 'language calls'. That shot does the same. (and I know that many people will chastise me for quoting Heidegger, and for good reason, but there it goes). That image calls. Keep safe. Great shot. Keep it up. A competent Photoshop user can do the same thing without it, but the filter makes it much easier.
