pariscurno Posted October 22, 2020 Share Posted October 22, 2020 Hello all! Would love some advice around what camera I should buy. I currently own a Canon 5D mrk 3, and 24-70 & 16-35mm lenses. I'd like to upgrade to a camera that does good photo and video. Im more a stills shooter but would still like good video capability. Ive been leaning more towards the R6 and getting an adapter for my old lenses but still not feeling 100% sure because of 20mp. Anyone got any advice? Thanks so much! Robin Smith Posted October 22, 2020 Share Posted October 22, 2020 If you have the money to spend then I guess I would go for the R6. It'll be a better video camera for sure. I understand that EF lenses work very well on the Rs. Of course, once you start down the road with the RF mount you will end up spending a lot getting the new lenses (you know you will). If you get a s/h 5DIV you may feel more inclined to stay with the EFs which are cheaper and still very good (and there are a lot of them s/h).
