You are invited to upload one or more of your landscape photos and, if you’d like, to accompany your image with some commentary: challenges you faced in making the image? your intent for the image? settings? post-processing decisions? why you did what you did? the place and time? or an aspect you’d like feedback on? And please feel free to ask questions of others who have posted images or to join the discussion. If you don’t feel like using words, that’s OK too—unaccompanied images (or unaccompanied words, for that matter) are also very much welcomed. As for the technicalities, the usual forum guidelines apply: files < 1 MB; image size <1000 px maximum dimension.

There are a lot of fairly dramatic sea stacks in my region, but this is the one I seem to photograph most often.

Well, this is just from my condo's grounds since I kind of feel trapped, but here goes. Leica M10, 7Artisans 50/1.1 at f/1.1 using live view and the visoflex for focus. Though this lens is calibrated exactly with my camera (out of the box). But ANY movement throws off the focus. And it does tend to flare, as you can see. Wide open it's not super sharp, but has a more soft glowy look which I kind of like.

A very calm and tranquil lake. Normally, I would follow compositional mandates and not place the horizon exactly half way between top and bottom and place the most prominent features, the two trees on the opposite shore, exactly in the middle, but I was experimenting with trying to accentuate the placid nature of the scene. (Within an hour the wind had picked up to 25 mph and lake was no longer so placid!).
