carbon_dragon
I don't know for certain, but the shutter button seems to be drilled for the standard cable release (just as my M10 is and most cameras) so any soft release which screws into the button is probably just as effective. Note some cameras DO have a specialized system for remote release (such as the old Contax RTS series or some of the current Leica bodies) and then there might not be the right screw drilling of the button. Plus the R5 and R4 date from the alliance with Minolta and my Minolta XE-5 has the same drilling on the button. I guess we can wait for an R5 user who has actually purchased one. christopher_a._junker1
Look up: Rapidwinder.com Softie Releases are still available, I have a red one on my Leicaflex Standard. Really helps at slow shutter speeds.
