Film Camera Week for July 31

Recommended Posts

Greetings all and welcome to our new thread. Post all the images you like from any film camera. I'll start with images from a roll of Ilford HP5+ that I processed and scanned earlier in the week. Camera was Canon EOS Rebel K with its kit lens (28-90).

Budge AF cameras were often used with the built in flash. Also, many users simply left camera in program mode. Here's a couple with the flash and camera in program mode.

One disadvantage of program is with flash the camera usually operates at close to (or at) maximum aperture. Limited depth of field wasn't a problem if the above photo, but visible in next one.

All for now. Might have a few more later. Looking forward to seeing everyone's images.

Nothing to post at the moment--should have some more scans soon.

It seems the recent "Half Frame Cameras" thread some of us contributed to has mysteriously disappeared...perhaps a glitch with the site, or was it deleted for some reason? Strange.

It is strange that the half frame thread is gone. It was not moved as it is nowhere in any of the other forums. I saw no reason why it should have been taken down. Even if someone added a post that was in violation of photo.net rules, a moderator would have just removed that post.

Late Edit: I checked with an administrator and he has no idea why the thread disappeared. He had even posted on that thread. Most strange.

Another couple from the 1st roll of Ferrania P30. Voigtlander R3m and I believe the Voigtlander 50mm f3.5 Heliar lens, shot at a local drag strip a few weeks back.

I have been saying jokingly to my friends that I haven't shot any photos of Neowise at all, but I DID get a shot of these two comets side by side!

Here are some samples from a roll of Ilford Delta 400 I shot with the Contax RTS with the 50mm Carl Zeiss Planar T* f/1.7 lens, that I pictured in the "What camera this weekend..." thread. I've not been happy with most 400 ISO films such as Arista, HP5 Plus or Tri-X in the 35mm format, finding them a little coarse and grainy for my taste, but the Delta 400 is performing very well in the Pyro developers and I'll probably standardize on this combination, for when I need a faster film.
