It's Official - The M10-R Is Here!

It's essentially an M10-P with the higher resolution sensor (40.9mp), a standard M10 topcover, priced the same as an M10M ($8,295).

Doubt I will ever have that much in the Photography Fund! Do love Leicas though, past and present.

One reviewer in particular is calling out odd color renditions.

In order to take advantage of a 40 MP sensor with a 50 mm lens, you need to use a tripod, or a shutter speed of at least 1/250 second.

Some say they have some success selecting the shutter-speed approximating double the FL, but I agree with you! I won't be a fan until image stabilization is part of the equation.

The only thing I think they got wrong (as usual!) is the low buffer, which supposedly holds only ten frames. Perhaps this will be offset by high speed SD cards?

At least Leica now puts the tripod socket in the center, rather than at the extreme end of the bottom plate.

Leica, my next goal

WAAAY out of my price range. Be interesting to see how it delivers.
