That's the same place. I posted another photo of Mesa Arch in May of last year. A few years later we drove our 4wd Ford Ranger the rest of the way around the White Rim Trail a total distance of 104 often frightening miles. I wouldn't care to do it again even on a dirt bike. Edited by danac

Canyonlands was on our 2nd of three trips to the Rockies. Always loved being there, but I'll never grow fond of clinging to the side of a mountain!

Great shot Jim! I didn't realize you could snag something like that with just a 200mm.

 

I had first used a 50/1.8 figuring I needed the extra speed. But after experimenting with ISO's and shutter speeds, realized I could use an F2.8 lens. So I pulled out the FD 200mm and gave it a try. Pleasantly surprised how good it came out.
