Cleaning Canon 1D mark II sensor question?

I was out this afternoon trying to photograph birds in flight on a overcast day and when I looked at the pictures they were full of spots, spots everywhere. This being an old digital camera body what would you use to clean the sensor? I was shooting at f8 or f11 mostly with a 100-400 and Canon 1.4 tc if that makes a difference. Would the same product also clean my 6D and 70D too?

I've cleaned all of my sensors the same way:

 

1. Start with air, holding the sensor pointing down.

 

2, Then move to a static brush to get the easy stuff that the air didn't dislodge.

 

3. Finally, move to a wet cleaning if necessary. I use the Copper Hill materials. They are out of business, but others sell the same stuff: swabs and Eclipse cleaner.

 

There is also a sensor cleaning version of a LensPen, but I haven't used it much.

 

The lens is irrelevant. The aperture is relevant in that the narrower the aperture, the more apparent dust spots will be. I test as I clean by shooting a blank computer monitor with a very small aperture, which helps show what I have missed.
