Film Camera Week for July 10

Recommended Posts

Greetings all and welcome to our new thread. Post all the images you like from any film camera. As always tech information and location are always welcome. I'll start with some scans from a roll of Kentmere 100 that I processed earlier in the week. I used HC110 dilution H and scanned on Epson V600.

Most of the time I trust the metering of the XE to give accurate exposures. Like the SRT it shares the CLC metering pattern. Sometimes it is fooled by darker areas at sides of frames.

I had to darken water tank in post processing as the trees caused a slower shutter speed to be set. Lens used was a Celtic 100-200 f 5.6. The XE has an exposure compensation dial but I find it easier to select shutter speed manual and set above or below recommended speed.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's images.

Some test photos taken with the Soligor EC 28/2.8 lens on a Miranda RE-II, featured a few weeks ago in the "What Camera(s) Are You Using?" thread. Kodak ProImage 100 film.

Pleasantly surprised with this lens--not only is it sharp but colors are nicely saturated, with vivid blues.

Some from a Minolta XD-7 with a Tamron Adaptall II SP 28-80mm F/3.5-4.2 (Model 27A). I'm beginning to like this camera / lens combination. The film was Ilford FP4 Plus developed in Pyrocat HD.

A few from a Nikon F-801 with a 28-80mm AF Nikkor f/3.5-5.6D lens. The film was Arista EDU Ultra 200 developed in Pyrocat HD.

Our little town is staging a Midwinter Christmas celebration, to get the town moving again after lockdown and to cheer us all up a little in these gloomy days. I rather like this first pic of the local primary school kids singing Christmas songs in front of the town hall, at 10.30 am on a very chilly morning. Good to see such community spirit.

Recently I found a roll of Arista EDU Ultra 100 that was past date by three years. I decided to run it through my Olympus XA-2. A few scans from that roll (processed in HC110 dilution H) here to keep things moving.

As typical with the XA-2 and XA, light fall off is noticeable. Surprisingly, the low priced XA-1 (with its f 4 lens) has less.

2 shots of 2 different tractors, taken at a local flea mkt that's held on an old fairgrounds where there's an outfit of coal fired steam train enthusiasts. The steam train folks also has a collection of old farm equipment. Both of these from the same roll of

35mm Rollei Superpan 200;

the camera, my Voigtlander R3m rangefinder;

the lens, the Voigtlander 50mm f3,5 Heliar.
