samstevens
Just by asking you made people go look. No, he didn’t. Take responsibility. If you looked, you looked because you chose to look. My advice to the poster is to contact a moderator directly and privately and provide a reason you might need them removed. If it’s a pressing enough reason, possibly a legal or deeply important personal issue, you might find a sympathetic ear willing to make an exception to the general rule that once you’ve posted something to a forum, it stays. Certainly there have been posts removed in the past by understanding moderators, but only for good reason. If, on the other hand, you have no compelling reason other than personal desire, you likely will have to live with the posts you’ve made. 1 "You talkin' to me?" Sanford
My point exactly, should have been a personal contact with a moderator in the first place.

I was just trying to protect the identity of a model. No one should have to go through an obstacle course to do that. Sandy let me know a way to get my images removed (they were actually hosted elsewhere thankfully) so all is well and taken care of. Unfortunately it is extremely difficult to find a way to contact moderators/staff. The contact button on the main website has loaded a blank page for me for weeks now. Changing browsers and devices has not helped. The privacy policy and TOS does not have any email address written that I can contact. For the few admins on this forum, I could not find a direct message button for most of them. The only one I was able to find a message button for was Sandy, who says he's not even staff and can't do anything. So this website is greatly outdated when it comes to ease of use and respecting the users' right to control their data. It should not be this difficult to get a photo removed but alas, here we are. Any Moderator /Administrator (and any Member) can be contacted by PM. All you need to do is click on their Avatar and then click on "Private Message" to begin a conversation. However, as has been pointed out many times, Moderators are volunteers, not Staff. By the way samtevens gave good advice and accurate information: Members have always been responsible for what they publish. *** Thank you, this was an excellent response.
