World Heritage registered in 1986, the historic city of Toledo condenses between its walls more than two millennia of history. From Roman municipality to seat of power of the emperor Carlos V, Visigoths, the emirs of Córdoba and Catholic kings in the midst of the Reconquest have settled here and all of them have left their mark on monuments influenced by the times in which Jews, Christians and Muslims lived together.
