jessiepalumbo
I recently collaborated with this "PR" woman on a photoshoot with an actress. There was no compensation, or contract, just email exchange that I will be properly credited in the publication. She just sent me tear sheets of my photos not only being used in the Magazine but also as the cover. However, not only was my credits no where to be found, they labeled the Photographer as the PR woman. I told her to fix it because I didn't give them rights to use photos without credit or compensation, and all she said was "it wasn't intentional". How do I proceed legally? The magazines are already printed on stands.
conrad_hoffman
First, don't get legal advice from the internet. See a lawyer if you think it's worth it. It may not be. That's why people have contracts and I've no idea how much weight emails might carry.
William Michael
I told her to fix it because I didn't give them rights to use photos without credit or compensation . . . The magazines are already printed on stands. Frankly, that demand seems a waste of time. How do I proceed legally? With a Lawyer. One that will give you an honest evaluation of what you might reap as compensation and what that might cost: I think much of the cost benefit of any legal action will depend on your jurisdiction.
