John Seaman
For me, the visual interest in this image is fatally divided between the shadow on the wall, which is graphic and striking, and the pipework itself which is something of a jumble. I wonder if a simplified picture of just the shadow on the wall might work better, perhaps shooting from further to the right to give more separation from the piping. Just my opinion, of course. I realise this goes against your intention to emphasise the third dimension as implied in your title.. I can see how the original shot could be split in to two abstracts ones, but my goal was to show flatness (2D) of pipe that creates the hidden 3rd dimension represented by shadow. "... Glenn McCreery
This is a nice image, but I don't think that it will ever look three dimensional, since the wall is close and the shadow is even wider than the piping, so the perspective visual clue to three dimensionality is not there. However, it contains several very good abstract possibilities. I suggest trying various croppings that simplify the design and give it a bit of mystery as to what the shadow really represents. Also, I suggest straightening or eliminating the top of the wall. Here is one possible edit. Edited April 1, 2020 by Glenn McCreery

I should probably title it as "The third" dimension. I agree that straightening or eliminating the top of the wall will eliminate distraction. "...
