steve_bellayr
I have a Nikkor-Q.C. 50mm f3.5 rigid (M39 mount) currently mounted on my Leica M6. I have not found much or rather anything on this lens. I find this lens to be exceptional with the bild quality excellent. Anyone using this lens or have experience with this lens? How does it compare to the more modern Voigtlander 50mm f3.5?
steve_bellayr
To update my post: I did find on the web an analysis of the lens. If anyone is interested search Richardhaw.com. He has a review of the lens.
rodeo_joe1
Well the Q tells us that it's a 4 element lens, and the C tells us it's coated. Given the fairly slow f/3.5 aperture, I'm guessing it's just a bog-standard Tessar clone.
conrad_hoffman
Probably, but IMO, more than a few good photos have been made using the Tessar design and its variants, heck, maybe more than any other lens design. OK, I've got a soft spot for them (ohhh, bad pun!) :D
JDMvW
I've had very good results with my Nikkor-Q 135mm f/3.5, but of course it is in Nikon's version of the Contax RF mount. They don't make them like that anymore.
