Billblackwellphotography, I particularly like the second shot - what's the story? Your grasp of processing/printing is again in evidence. Exemplary shots, good tonal range; you know the story. Bravo. Keep doing it. Arthur (apiarist1).

My shots, a residue from last week, and our Oz day festival of recrudescent nationalism. The first is of Eric, taken with a Canon Vt (they added 'de-luxe' to the metal stamping) and I think with a summitar 50mm collapsible. Eric is one of our rural communities 'patriarchs'. He has been an avid 'booster' for Wingham, prominent in fostering our 'Bonnie Wingham' celebration of early Scottish settlement here. A real, and well deserved, icon here in our rural community. I posted some other shots to the classic camera page from this camera:

The Canon is probably best described as a 'workperson like camera'. Focussing is harder that with the Canon 7, but it has a good feel. The trigger wind is counter-intuitive, though some may find it convenient, even if they don't get skin tears from it.

The other two are of a band that was playing at the Indigenous 'Saltwater/Freshwater' festival on the same day. It was a good festival, though we were only able to get over to its denouement. It's put on on Oz day as a celebration of Indigenous survival, resilience, and strength, in the face of relentless colonising efforts to eradicate Indigenous culture and people (some of you may have read the 'Bringing Them Home' Royal Commission Report). Taken with my monochrom and go to 75mm lens:

I've acquired today a voigtlander prominent (around the 1956 version). I hope to put a film thru it this week. Regards, Arthur (apiarist1)
