c_watson1
My daily Madeline of late...... You need a 'table upgrade big time. BTW, what does this have to do with PDN's demise anyway?
samstevens
BTW, what does this have to do with PDN's demise anyway? Chat room free association can be very inspirational. Think of it as group stream of consciousness. Kerouac would be proud. ;) 1 "You talkin' to me?"

Moving On
Watson. Sarcasm? That table is one of the best ever made. See post #21 at the top of the page. “Proust’s Madeline” in a discussion about nostalgia and its triggers. Old Cameras, photos, and the taste of a Madeline....Taste, sound, and sight are all triggers of past memories.... I happened to be listening to a 40 something year old album from my high school days when I read that post.
Moving On
Nevermind. For a moment I forgot who you were. My bad.....
samstevens
Nah, just the usual self-referential, self-regarding irrelevance. If that’s the case, why not just pass that part of the conversation by? Is it not somewhat “self reverential[ly]l” irrelevant to stick your two cents in not about the topic but about self-reverentialism? Come to think of it, it may just be one step further off the rails ... "You talkin' to me?"
Moving On
Terrible delivery, like nails on a chalk board, but I like the lyrics.... That turntable, a product of the 70’s, still performs excellently. A 30 pound time machine that gracefully caresses the elegant spinning vinyl it has been dancing with for decades...... samstevens
It’s self-referential. I was very intentional in my word play! Self-reverential works just fine ... "You talkin' to me?"

Moving On
I’ve taken to scanning old photos on the desktop as part of packing them away. There is also a stack of albums going back over 49 years. It has become routine to spin the old vinyl whilst I scan the photos. A large portion of the photos are concurrent with the albums and that makes for a fun interesting experience.....another Madeline routine.
