Canon 6D WiFi Setting

After having not used my 6D for some time, I tried to set up a WiFi connection with my tablet. Following a WiFi set-up instruction, I don't get screens as what I see in the instruction. In the confirm set, there are five options. On the connect to smartphone screen, I don't see how I can pick the option (see the photo). Also, sometimes, six icons will show up on a screen after I select WiFi connection on the menu. What is wrong?

It has been a while since I sold my 6D, I rmember once finding it easier to revert the camera back to factory settings after getting settings hosed from previous connections, then proceed with the Wi-Fi ordeal, not an inutitive process but it can be done. Also I suggest installing the latest firmware. Then watch a YouTube Video on getting it set up, I believe it can be set up through either a wireless router allowing your phone or tablet to be on the internet while shooting remotely, or directly connected to the camera, the camera acting as a hot spot. It looks like it is stuck a previous iPhone attempt. Good luck.
Cheers, Mark

Thanks Mark for your info. I have the latest firmware installed on the camera and I had watched related videos on youtube before posting my question. I need to watch, more I guess. And I also go into other approaches you mention. I believe that I had set up a remote connection before with my phone. I never used an iPhone. So, I don't know how the iPhone shows up on the screen.

I select tablet on mine to connect. It allows me to use the iPad to control it for remote shooting and viewing the photos. You can download JPEGs from the card via the camera wifi. Great for emailing or just keeping on the iPad for viewing/showing.

Set up a new connection, and you'll get the icon for connecting to the phone, tablet, computer, etc... Don't try to salvage an old connection.
