jarrod_diermajer
So i've had my olympus pen eed for a while now and i noticed some battery corrosion forming on the battery contact inside the battery compartment. I unscrewed the metal contact bit and cleaned it up but when i went to screw it back on the nut on the otherside has fallen away so there is nothing to screw it to. You can hear the nut moving around inside the body. Does anyone know how i could reconnect the metal contact so it will connect the electrical system back up? I've attached some photos to show the problem.
John Seaman
You will have to remove the baseplate to try and see how to get it back on. On most cameras it's just a case of removing the screws which secure it. It's usually straightforward but be very careful of any possible loose parts, delicate springs etc under there. JDMvW
As John says, but if you are smart, you will carefully document the process (simple as it may seem in abstract terms) with both sketches and photographs of each stage. Don't ask how I came to this position.:(
