T 1.0 for Godox AD200 or Nissan D700i

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I wonder if any lighting experts know what I should expect here? The Godox/Wistra manual says I should expect

1/220 to 1/11300 seconds, the Nissan instruction brochure I have seems silent on the matter. The background is I want to freeze action in the studio and my studio lights are cheap (ie slow flash) Elinchroms. Camera is Leica so no HSS available. Thanks in advance.

No experience with the Godox, but every recently-made hotshoe speedlight I've tested has a light decay curve similar to this one at full output.

So just over 3 milliseconds duration to t 0.1 would be pretty typical. But only at full output. At half 'power' the light is cut off almost instantly at around 1.5 milliseconds (1/660th s) and proportionally faster for quarter-power, 1/8th etc.

BTW Nissan make cars. I think you mean Nissin. Unless you're happy with a flash duration of 0 to 60 in 12 seconds.
