Is it possible to see the histogram in the vf of the Fujifilm x100?

Recommended Posts

Last month I picked up a well used Fujifilm X100 a camera, a camera I lusted for years ago but couldn't afford. Now that I found one for a cheap price I'm using the heck out of it to see what it can do. I can see the histogram in the rear lcd but not in the viewfinder even though I have it selected in custom functions. Not finding anything on the subject I thought I'd ask the experts on this forum. Is it possible to see the histogram in the viewfinder, if it is I could use some help.

Hi Mark, I can't be certain about the X100 but the X100s allows it. It can be in the EVF or as a overlay in the OVF, accessible in the custom settings (I think).

You should be able to download a manual from Fuji.

I got rid of my x-100 after upgrading to the S, but seem to remember it having the histogram. The DISP/BACK button on the back toggles the histogram and distance scale on and off. If it gets inadvertently bumped the histogram disappears and you’re left wondering where it went.

Thanks guys I got it. I took GlennS' advice and put the camera to my eye and pressed the DISP/BACK and now I can see it. I'm not sure how it got turned off but it's turned on now and if it ever goes off again I know how to get it to work again. Gerald, thanks for the link, I just downloaded it. I've been reading the old paper manual but reading it on my Kindle makes it much easier.
