Leslie Reid
You are invited to upload one or more of your landscape photos and, if you’d like, to accompany your image with some commentary: challenges you faced in making the image? your intent for the image? settings? post-processing decisions? why you did what you did? the place and time? or an aspect you’d like feedback on? And please feel free to ask questions of others who have posted images or to join the discussion. If you don’t feel like using words, that’s OK too—unaccompanied images (or unaccompanied words, for that matter) are also very much welcomed. As for the technicalities, the usual forum guidelines apply: files < 1 MB; image size <1000 px maximum dimension. Laura Weishaupt
We had accumulating ice yesterday. The ground isn't frozen, so leaf litter is only wet along paths in the woods and along the creek. The cloudy sky made for flat lighting, but then some fog rolled in. Ice is good, fog is good, but fog and ice together got interesting. Time in the woods was limited by branches falling from the heavy ice. The sky is full of stars this morning, so some camera time with glistening sun light is ahead, after coffee.

Dieter Schaefer
This morning's sunrise. Made me run out of the house grabbing the first camera at hand - with the 200-500 attached. Not suitable, so back to switch to the 16-80 and out again - in my pyjamas and bathrobe. Naturally - though I had hoped it to be ingrained in my brain by now - I forgot to check the camera settings. The had needed changing - badly - 1/1600 and f/4 isn't the setting to shoot a sunrise with.
