Olympus Pen EE

Hi!! I recently purchased an Olympus Pen EE and honestly I haven't a clue about photography! I have a couple of questions. What type of film does this camera use and how easy is it to operate?

 

It takes standard 35mm film but being a half frame camera, it will give 72 pictures on a 36 exposure film, the pictures being half the size of the normal 35mm size of 24 x 36mm.

 

Why not download the camera manual from Mike Butkus's site? He does request a donation to cover his costs.

The Pen EE has a fixed-focus lens and fully automatic exposure, so it is literally a "point-and-shoot" camera (the only setting you can change is the film speed).

 

But, they are very hard to find in working condition these days. To check if the meter works, press down on the shutter release in low light, or put your hand in front of the lens. You should see a red flag pop up in the viewfinder.
