dennisbrown
While getting ready to run some errands, I looked up and saw a hawk on the arm of our power pole. I went back in the house, grabbed my D750 and the 200-500 f/5.6 lens, and grabbed a few shots of him perched. He then swooped down to my neighbor's yard, then jumped to the boundary fence. I moved within about 12 feet, and grabbed a few more shots. At 12 feet, the 200mm setting filled the frame. It's not completely feral, as it has the remnants of a tether; it also wasn't legally owned, since it lacks banding required by the state of Michigan DNR.

JDMvW
My neighbor used to have seed out for birds pretty much year-round. I have only a blurry shot through a window, but there was a resident hawk in my back yard as a by-product of the feeder .
