Sandy Vongries
This is something that I've been working on for a while - certainly still a work in process. Shutter speeds range from 1/500 for the first few to 1/2000 for the last 2 - those wings are really moving.

DavidTriplett
Sandy, my own experience is great difficulty in finding a satisfactory balance between fast shutter speed, sufficient DoF, and an ISO setting that doesn't lose the details of the bee or other insect in the noise. So far, yours are much better than mine, and Sanford's that much better again.

Once you have if figured out, not much of a challenge - pizza in the sky. Bees in flight, on the other hand...;)

HoofArted
Great image- amazingly sharp focus. Which lens, flash, and camera? Thanks. I started to answer but looked at the exif to be sure and was surprised to see it was taken with the built-in flash (CRS sucks). Otherwise it was with a Canon 77d and EF100mm f/2.8L Macro. bgelfand
Thank you for the information. I wish photo.net had a button to click on to display the EXIF data of a posted image like Flicker has.
