Cameras on New Samsung S10+

I currently have the Samsung S5 phone, and have used the 16 megapixel camera in it when I have had nothing else with me. Surely I don't use the camera on my phone for important pictures, but it helps in a pinch.

Later in the year I'm debating to replace my phone with the S10+. Now that phone apparently has 3 cameras on it, with different megapixels for each, and each a different range for what it shows. Has anyone used this new phone and its camera? How would it compare to my older S5?

No, I haven't. - Your S5 was the last model with removable batteries or one earlier? A buddy of mine shoots that one. To me it seems a bit underlensed / overmegapixeled, when I am pixel peeping but basically a nice P&S, effortless results wise.

I would not expect a huge and brain shaking step forward in photo hardware under the hood and assume progress gets primarily made in the post capture computing. Maybe read DxO's review & comments?

Photographically: Phones ain't no bang for your buck; the percentage of value sunk in sensors & glass is just too tiny + design & ergonomics go into a wrong direction, since the flat "phone" appearance overrules everything else. - An upgrading decision would need 2 more legs to stand on, for me. - How about adding a tiny just camera in that price range, to wait for the day somebody builds a bit of smart phone into a camera for a change?
