mark_stephan2
I've been exploring the web and cannot find a way to check the firmware on my a900? The camera menu doesn't have a firmware setting like my Canon and Nikon cameras. How do I check the firmware? I understand version 2 though old is the current fw and I'd like to check to see if that's what my used camera is using.
John Seaman
Mark, have a look here: Sony eSupport - DSLR-A900 - Drivers & Software Slide the POWER switch to the On position.Press the MENU button, then the LCD monitor displays the menu.Press the DISP (display) button. The firmware version is displayed on the LCD monitor.
mark_stephan2
I know this an old post but I wanted to say thanks. I just checked the firmware on my new to me Sony a850 and it's Version 1.00 and 2.00 on the a900. I'm trying to decide if I need to update the a850 or just leave it alone since the camera works perfectly.
