Contax IIa IIIa Service/Repair in Toronto, GTA, Ontario HELP!

Looking for a qualified tech who can serve professionally Contax IIa or IIIa in Toronto, GTA area, Ontario. Anybody still in business? Thanks!

If you read Henry Sherer's page you'll be convinced that no one in the world other than he personally can work on these cameras, which is not the case. I would of course be looking for anyone who has experience with these models, but a good technician can likely service them. They are over engineered to provide a very exacting high tolerance of which was then, and now a little overkill. Lovely indeed. The advertising of the day referred to it purposefully as "ausgereifte" this means something like the technically matured.

I'm sorry not to be able to offer any leads, but be assured while probably over-complicated, they didn't re-invent the wheel here.

I "second" Chuck's response. Usually these have sluggish shutter controllers and most any experienced tech can clean it up and get it running right. If you have a shutter curtain issue, that is a different story. They are fragile and require a higher level of knowledge to get right. The lenses also can be serviced by someone who isn't a IIa or IIIa specialist. What is the problem with yours?

My tech here in Windsor, ON has service both my II and IIa quite nicely.

Resurrecting an old thread.  Is your tech in Windsor still working.   Could you point me in his direction perhaps?
