personal photos
so my beloved Minolta 28-70 2.8 g lens appears to have bitten the dust. Looking for a good quality affordable replacement. Any thoughts?
mukul_dube
Your best bet may be to search the Internet for a copy of the same lens. If the lens was made for a manual focus SLR, the different mount designations are at Minolta SR-mount - Wikipedia. There may be alternatives from other makers for the same mount. Wilmarco Imaging
Have a look on dyxum.com. Post a WTB if needed. Large percentage of European members there, so lenses may be located there. mark_stephan2
Take a look at the Tamron or Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 or the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8. I've borrowed the Tamron 24-70 a couple of times and used it with my D600 and was happy with the results. I use the excellent Tamron 28-7 f/2.8 with my a900, many forum members recommended it a couple of years ago as an inexpensive fast standard zoom with good image quality.
