Two aperture blades are out of position and I would like to pull the barrel apart to clean and lube the helicoid while I am repairing the blade issue. I have the front ring out, the front two elements out, the lens mount and rear element out. Its down to the barrel and the aperture assembly but I can't see how to remove anything else. Its a later version of the lens; a red "T" version. Any thoughts? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I found a way to fix the aperture blades without disassembling the barrel and in heating up the lens (without optics), the helicoid is now working fine. At some point though, I would like to get back in to do the job right so any help would still be appreciated although the urgency is way down.
