Konica Hexar AF sticky shutter fix didnt work

Hello all

I had the classic hexar AF issue with the shutter release not firing properly, or firing only with fully pressing and holding and wiggling around. So I did the fix, and it worked very well temporarily

Its now gone back to the same issue. Sometimes half pressing achieves focus, but then reframing and fully pressing to engage the shutter seems to reset the focus, then fire. So focusing on a person, for example, off centre, would result in them being out of focus and the centre of frame (background) being crisp.

I would imagine the normal issue occurs for a reason, and perhaps my camera is a worse example of it. Has anyone had this and found a work around? I tried sticking a bit of something to the shutter rod to lengthen it.
