The main problem was the seized helicoid it took days to free up leaving it on a radiator putting it in boiling water using wd 4 and vice grips but it finally screwed apart. was a bit of a nightmare. The slow speeds spring needed retensioning a little bend sorted it. I gave it a good service cleaned the lenses a tessar type and repainted the badge as best as i could and of course checked the range finder Alls working now but id never do another m3.. hop you like the pictures 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You'll find the Luminor lens is quite a good performer. I posted a few notes on the M4 and it's cousins, a few years ago; you might find it interesting. Oh No!
