Film Camera Week for March 1

Recommended Posts

Thanks Bill! It's not the camera.. it's me with a sponge reduces the drying time to circa one hour. .. need to be more careful. At least that'S my take on it... I "doubt" it'S the camera!!

Lately I have been laying out paper towels on the table and then taking the film off the spool and laying them on the paper towel. Then fold over the paper towel and blot (not squeegee). Then I move the negatives to a dry spot and blot again and then a 3rd time. That prevents C41 water spots, avoids squeegee scratching and reduces the drying time hugely. Dust problems are also reduced. I suppose due to the quick drying time.

I'm glad that's working for you, but I have never seen paper towels that don't have some lint on them.

Taken several years ago, I was presented with several power lines & numerous emulsion defects on the negs. So after a long time of pixel cloning,... Church is half a block away next to my bus stop, so it's a "target" now & then. Isolette 2, UFX400, OA & V600 scan.
