michael_levy3
I am not qualified to tell you whether or not the world is experiencing climate change. I just document what I see. With my trusty M10 and my Summilux 50mm lens, hand held. 1/3 second at f11. Yaletown, Vancouver. Today (February 22, 2019). Yet another unusual (for Vancouver) February snow dump.
arthur_mcculloch2
Where's Allen Herbert? Allen, you out there? You document well, michael_levy|3. That is a good shot. Well done. As an aside, we are in the anthroprocene, and it's going to get ugly. But thank God the Americans have the Donald, with his vast intelligence, let alone narcissism, to guide us through climate change. Where would we be without the Donald. I say this from Oz, a vassal state. So my shots, done yesterday with M6, with flash, FP4, with my wherewithall voigtlander 75mm lens, and Ilfosol 3 development, at yesterday afternoon and evening (my beautiful wife took me out to dinner). The first is of a friend of my wife's son - both have a disability - and her parents (Jan's (my spouse's) son is with his father this week). The second is of a bar goer. The third is of one of my spouse's children, taken when we got home. We do not get on well, me and her children. 'reconstituted families', where would yo be without them? The final, of another at the club. So back to the study, I'm going. Sing with me, now I know my a,b,g's (alpha, beta, gamma, delta, epsilon...). Where are you Allen? I hope all is well. I miss your measured comment. Regards, Arthur (apiarist1)
arthur_mcculloch2
Actually, michael_levi|3, looking more at that shot of yours, that is exceptional. It's framed and on your wall? I t should be. Bravo. Captured something there. Regards, Arthur

Bill Bowes
Hello everyone. I found my 5th, and last, roll of Kodak s0-2238 film & decided to run it thru my Zorki-4 with some tests. Data from Ultrafine states asa 25, but my earlier testing indicated an asa of 12. So my some-what rusty tripod was dragged out & used. Even with early afternoon bright sun here in the Islands, exposures were only showing 1/2 sec @ f8 ! Brackets of +1/2 & +1 f stop from meter were used. Developed in my Pyrocat HDC for 16m. Negs (at 12asa) are just a tad on the thin side from my "usual" negs, but did well in the V600. Compared to a recent 100Tmax neg of the same house (my fav target - lots of verticals & horizontals, plus some deep shrubs), the grain is indeed fine. I am now thinking my Jupiter-4 on the Zorki is not the best relatively wide open (f 2.0 - 5.6). Just wish the emulsion were in 120. Aloha, Bill
arthur_mcculloch2
And Uhooru, that second shot - did you pay for that? If not, that is magic. Give me the detail (you know, camera, lens, blah, blah). It's so good. You should publish it. I'm sounding a bit mad here. Keep safe, Arthur (apiarist1). arthur_mcculloch2
Bill-Bowes, that's well done. Couldn't quite follow your text. Forgive me. I have yet to try your catechol formulae, want to use up my ilfosol. Whatever, it's a great image. Keep safe, and thanks. Arthur
Uhooru
Thx Arthur. Used a 50mm f2 on a Fuji X-Pro2. Event was our firm's Holloween party. Does Australia have the holiday? Probably All Hallows Eve. from which our US Holiday sprung from. Of course our version lost pretty much all the core meaning of the original and has devolved/or evolved into a highly commercialized yet fun night to personally express freely and in some communities just to bring out their preoccupations openly. Especially in New York, San Francisco, Hollywood etc.

Bill Bowes
Sunday Market is a treat for the cameras & also the start of my weekly meal plans .
