Henricvs
Anyone here have examples of images shot with this little triplet? I just bought a baby, but it is far down the list for testing. Just wondering how the little booger performs.
geoff_radkoff
I have the Trioptar and it made decent images. It was bettered slightly, sharpness wise, by this once it was cla’d. I don’t have access to any shots at the moment.
geoff_radkoff
I also recall that both were at their best at f8 and f11.

dan_fromm2
Years ago, when I was trying to work out which lenses to use on my 2x3 Graphics, I tested, with a USAF 1951 target, 101/4.5 Ektar, 103/4.5 Trioptar and 105/3.7 Ektar. The Trioptar was the best. Largest coverage, sharpest. The legendary 105/3.7 Ektar was the worst. Didn't quite cover 2x3 and was the least sharp. That was my second 105/3.7. I sold the first one on because I didn't find it sharp enough (different test, actual shots), bought the second one because of all the noise about how wonderful that legendary lens is.

I hope someone has an example photo.
chuck_foreman1
Lovely Century Graphic. I have this lens on my Century too. It seems ok. The circled "L" is a reference to "lumenized" an early marking from Kodak for color coated. I took mine out last summer and I was not happy, but I've had other results that were Ok.. It enjoys a good reputation.

chuck_foreman1
uummm sorry for the confusion...these are/were taken with the Ektar...not the Trioptar... led astray by Geoff'S posting with the Ektar! Hence "I have this on my Century too" Sorry!!
