Leslie Reid
You are invited to upload one or more of your landscape photos and, if you’d like, to accompany your image with some commentary: challenges you faced in making the image? your intent for the image? settings? post-processing decisions? why you did what you did? the place and time? or an aspect you’d like feedback on? And please feel free to ask questions of others who have posted images or to join the discussion. If you don’t feel like using words, that’s OK too—unaccompanied images (or unaccompanied words, for that matter) are also very much welcomed. As for the technicalities, the usual forum guidelines apply: files < 1 MB; image size <1000 px maximum dimension. You probably guessed that there would be more fog this week. This is one of my favorite fog sites, in Redwood National Park. It’s just far enough from the coast that the fog is often patchy, and just close enough that it’s often present.

DavidTriplett
Back to the fog theme... Zion Canyon (posted previously): Tonya and I had waited several years, watching for an opportunity to revisit Zion NP in a major storm. When the weather report indicated a major storm coincident with a holiday weekend we packed up and headed south. While the other tourists were hunkered down in their rooms, we enjoyed an amazing experience. Zion Canyon is transformed in the rain, with every crack in the rock becoming a waterfall. It can be a truly surreal experience. Edited February 6, 2019 by DavidTriplett
paul_droluk
Just a wee bit of fog... After 13 years in North San Diego County, we're finally on track to receive our historical average of seasonal rainfall... about 11 inches for the year.
