steve_g2
sharkbite and such things are hurting plumbers big time and us amateurs can even buy pex stuff However, a good plumber has a strong back and no fear of ladders so I'm happy to use them. mike_halliwell
and no fear of ladders Why do plumbers go up ladders? All the ones I know live under the sink.;)
Mary Doo
Why do plumbers go up ladders? Think Steve is referring to roof plumbers? They build/maintain roof gutters to direct rain water away from the house. Anyhow I took the camera out a few hours ago looking for a barred owl that has recently been sighted near a beach and not far from where I live. Thank goodness it did not jam again. Owl I did not find; but had fun photographing my dog on the beach. :) Edited January 9, 2019 by Mary Doo
steve_g2
Here in South Texas, water heaters and quite a few pipes are often found in the attic. Often with unhappy results.
mike_halliwell
Old derivation of a plumber was "a lead worker" (Latin...plumbum) (lead for piping NOT roofing!!) Although to be fair, a lot of early guttering was lead too...:)
Tony Parsons
I have to compare the labor cost to the plumber's, then I feel better. :( I'm sorry - I have to ask : Was the plumber to get the camera free from the dishwasher ? Seriously, very glad to hear all is well again, even at that cost. All of my gear is 'pre-owned' (second-hand in English), so if damaged probably too expensive to fix. mike_halliwell
to get the camera free from the dishwasher Don't encourage those loonies on YouTube to test the 'weatherproofing' on a D500...
Andrew Garrard
Don't encourage those loonies on YouTube to test the 'weatherproofing' on a D500... Why? The more they have to buy, the cheaper they'll be for the rest of us, surely... (Happy new year, all.)
Mary Doo
Don't encourage those loonies on YouTube to test the 'weatherproofing' on a D500... Not sure where I read it, the weather proofing of the D500, if any, is extremely poor. So please don't go diving with it.
