How do I block [anyone] from viewing / accessing my photos

I think that there is no effective solution.

If you choose to publish any photo on the www, even if in an encrypted form, you always run the risk of someone accessing and viewing it.

If you do not want a select group of people from a photo, then show it to no one.

A "secret", is only a secret if: only one person knows it.

Wait a minute! Doesn't photo.net advertise that premium users (those who pay) can have private galleries? It's true that nothing is completely secure on the internet, but a private gallery should allow a user to generally limit who gets to see his photos. It's a clumsy way to do things, because you have to give explicit permission to each person who you want to see your photos.

Incidentally, if someone is harassing you on photo.net, write to admin, and insist that they help you.

As there are apparently several of us who "would like that privilege of not only being members, but that should be stemming from the most basic notions of RIGHT TO PRIVACY. This is a general business practice in ADVANCED countries. I believe we members should receive some kind of positive answer, reply, or comment as to how to more "easily and friendlier" managing personal accounts should be. I strongly suggest the MANAGERS AND DIRECTORS OF PN can move in the correct direction of this matter, which is quite important these days in trustworthy well established businesses.

Basic Notions of "Right to Privacy" is a different topic to your original question.

I think what you are asking about is covered by the Terms and Conditions of Use of Photo.net, to which all members agreed when signing up and to which there is a link at the bottom of the page, extract FYI here:

"You also grant us a perpetual non-exclusive worldwide royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt, publicly perform and publicly display your User Content on the Site and to promote the Site."

Maybe there is a very simple solution to the problem with unwanted comments. Instead of having to go into a half hidden state with private galleries and all that, you can very easily just delete the unwanted comments. I guess that will soon discourage the “culprits”. You sign in and go to your PORTFOLIO, where you click on Comments. Then you scroll down and find the unwanted comment and click on the button just underneath, where it says: “Remove Comment.” And the nasty comment immediately disappears, viola! In that way you can keep your photo visible for all your benevolent friends and other “normal people” to Comment, Admire and Favorite as usual.

But removing unwanted comments from one’s Portfolio Comments in the upper right corner on your front page, I do not know. Does anybody know how?

We do not have a way to block individuals from viewing your photos on the photo side of the site however as Hector said we do have "private client galleries" - which are intended for only sharing photo galleries with those you give permission to. If someone is harassing you please DM me

If someone left a comment on a photo you wish to remove - you can do so. Simply mouse over your gravatar>click on Portfolio>click on Comments - there should be a link in there to "remove comment". Again if someone is harassing you - please DM me and we'll address it. If someone left a comment on your portfolio page - you can go to My Account and remove comments from your profile - then DM me and we'll address the comment together. 1798932486_ScreenShot2019-01-03at4_26_07PM.thumb.png.0179bc3794102257ebe8f01363e1868f.png

No it is not possible currently. If you don't want someone to comment on your photos - you can remove their comments, but there isn't a way to block or "ignore" that person as there is in the forums.

Yes, it is easy to delete an unwanted individual comment under one of my photos. But to me it seems impossible to go to My Account and remove individual comments from my profile. I only see an option to Able or Disable this whole feature in general of having comments on your portfolio page - you know, on my front page in the upper right corner. Or am I missing something?

... Or am I missing something?
Not sure but If I go to My Portfolio then Comments, then Portfolio Comments, there is a box on each comment that allows me to delete one by one. As you noted, I can also block all comments - good and bad. matter of choice.

I can post a screen shot if you like.
