timothy_lefkowitz
Hey all, I'm trying to repair a light meter L-318b I thought the light meter was broken at the head. it would work when the head was positioned a certain way. Taken the head off the wire to this back plate came off super easy. Does anyone know where this wire goes? I'm thinking its just a ground wire but i'm not sure. any help would be awesome! rodeo_joe1
It is 'just' a shield for the sensor, and I would guess that it's meant to be soldered to the outer shield of the co-ax cable going to the sensor. With the emphasis on the word guess. Have a careful look at that blobbly mess of solder around the co-ax shield. If you can see some broken strands of wire coming out of it, then that's where the odd wire came from.
