What camera(s) are you using this weekend?

Recommended Posts

This weekend was a Kodak Vest Pocket model B.

The roll of VP127 is use by June 1977.

As this camera aperture has a scale of 1, 2, 3, 4, and not f/stop or U.S. stop values, I am not so sure the f/ value, but used one of the larger apertures.

Turns out that camera has many light leaks in the bellows, and the pictures pretty much didn't work at all.

I now have a replacement (new old stock) bellows, but haven't put it in yet.

I have, I believe, a Canon IID2. It isn't so easy to tell some of the II models apart.

The shutter seems fine, though on the slowest speeds, it seems to me that timing doesn't start until you release the button.

I have been using mostly 60 and 125.

Right now, a roll of PHR.

Here is one picture from the camera and PHR roll.

Note the white spot which seems to be a pinhole in the shutter.

It is in the same position for all frames on the roll.

Other than that, it seems to work fine.

Switched from the Nikon FE to my Nikon EM this week for a change. Really small, light camera that I can take to London with me during the day. I also have the Series E 100mm and 35mm. As I'm using colour negative film, I find the meter accurate enough without manual settings.

The viewfinder is beautiful for focusing.

Man, I gotta get out and shoot some film. It's been months since I got over to the French Quarter of New Orleans, because I had a second knee operation and the doctor wanted to play safe and limited how much I could walk each day.

This weekend, if the weather is good, I'm finally going shooting with a couple of F3HP's, probably Ektar 100 and Provia 100F.

An old favourite, the Yashica FR-I. I've been spending too much time in the Nikon camp and it's time for a change, though the Nikon FE and this Yashica are very similar cameras...

At the family camera shop we stocked the Yashica FR, FRI, and FRII. Great series of cameras. I used to borrow the FR from display and use the Contax Infrared remote with it. The remote was so sensitive that lightning flashes would trigger it. I wish I'd kept one for myself.

Loaded a roll in the Konica Auto S1.6 to save for the weekend but shot and finished it today. Met up with a photographer from New York who was photographing Mississippi store fronts and was using film. Had an enjoyable conversation.

Got a roll of Tri-X in my Minolta SRT 101 with MD 35-70 zoom that I will work on next.
