Sanford
Long ago I had a lot of slides transferred to CDs by Kodak (Kodak Digital Science). The only place they will open is in OpenOffice, a spreadsheet ap. They are called .PCD on the CD. Any easy way to open these in PSE?

digitaldog
If you're got (or can get) an old version of Photoshop, the Kodak Acquire module was one of the better ways to convert from PhotoYCC: KODAK: Drivers, Software and Firmware: Photo CD Acquire Module If you're on a Mac, there's this pup: McGuffog&Company Author “Color Management for Photographers" & "Photoshop CC Color Management" (pluralsight.com)

Sanford
Well, I use Elements 8. I'm going to check out some of these suggestions but not up for it today.
rodeo_joe1
I remember - vaguely - having to deal with this crap when Photo CDs were current technology. However, I see that the free Irfanview has a plugin to read the PCD format, but not write it. Irfanview will let you save the pictures in a more universal format though. You render Photo YCC like you render a raw, then save it in a format like TIFF. PhotoCD was in a way, the Predecessor of a camera raw file. Now in the day, I could write that format, I owned a PIW.
